BY ORGANIZERS,
FOR ORGANIZERS
The Organizing Accelerator is a training, mentoring and networking fellowship program for emerging grassroots organizers, community organizers, campaigners, social justice advocates, and civil rights leaders.
The Organizing Accelerator partners the nation-leading civil rights work of the NAACP with Groundwork Project’s unique model of supporting hyperlocal organizing in historically excluded and civically under-resourced regions across the country. With a deep commitment to identifying, supporting, and equipping talented emerging organizers who may otherwise lack access to traditional training programs and leadership institutes, The Organizing Accelerator seeks to build a diverse, inclusive, and representative bench of organizers for today and future generations.
OUR FOCUS
The Organizing Accelerator sets itself apart with a unique commitment to:
Engaging organizers from regions and states where civic infrastructure, modern civil rights movements, and pro-democracy efforts are largely under-funded.
Emerging organizers who have a strong grassroots network at home but have not yet had the opportunity to receive advanced training and connect with national networks.
Curriculum that is centered around professional development, expanding data & technology skill sets, building power through telling your story and finding sustainability and wellness as an organizer -- particularly in places where movements for racial equity, social justice & democracy protection face the strongest headwinds.
